May brings many good things to the landscape of Wisconsin, from morel mushrooms to asparagus to the first tender greens of the season.
And this year, at Farm Table, it also brings us Nancy Graden, Amery’s own herbal apothecary-ist. Nancy has been growing herbs, making tinctures and salves and remedies for decades. Her farm, on 35th Avenue near Parker Creek southwest of Amery, is a beautiful patchwork of hand-tended gardens, perennial and annual herbs, happily tucked in amongst the landscape of box elders, ash and aspens.
Nancy will be presenting her story, some slides of her work and some of her wholesome products at Farm Table on Thursday, May 25th starting at 5:00 or so. You can meet her then and learn more. Please join us.
